What does America Need? I'm not a big fan of Bush myself. He's a global embarrassment every time he opens his mouth. When I watch greatest presidential speeches on Conan and you see Kennedy, Reagan, Clinton, Truman your pride rises. Not with Bush. You just laugh. It's actually funnier than Saturday Night Live. Maybe he has a career in comedy after leaving the White House. He is a laughing stock!

But is it really him? his posse, Is it the republicans? the democrats? or both? Is it our government? lawmakers? Big Corporations? Lobbiests?

Working in communications I know Bush has speech writers and PR teams. I sometimes think he rips up the script and runs with it and he believes he's good at it. He is a Good Ole Boy. He doesn't think before he talks.

I have also heard Obama speak off script and from sources he is highly scripted and if left to his own stumbles and stutters. The big difference with Obama is he is polished and stumble and stutters with class.

My biggest concern around this election and our current situation is government. Government is broken, governmental agencies are broken. Bill's only pass if their loaded with PORK. Talk about waste. Scandals are breaking on a regular basis. Those are he ones we know about. I do want change. But change has to happen in our individual homes. We need to stop spending and start saving. We need to create businesses that generate wealth, help people and do so in an environmentally friendly way. Our government and our people need to solve problems here in the U.S. and not on Mars, the Moon or other countries around the world. If we can fix ourselves and return to a top economic power, increase the value of the dollar and reduce our debt this would be a much better place for more americans.

Obama or McCain cannot do this alone. "It Takes A Country". There are too many people sitting on the sidelines and I believe people are waking up and realizing they need to engage, participate, voice an opinion and hold our elected officials accountable. If we have to start cutting back, the should too. Rip the pork out, tell the lobbyists to go home. Create new jobs and give people opportunities and incentives to build and create a new america, stop big business from squashing new technology and alternative energy, Make Iraq accountable. Get our kids out. Give the middle east it's sandbox and advise from afar. Stop letting foreign concerns by our brew and our infrastructure. We passed the bill to build the fence so build it!

There are no easy answers and I believe just one man, no matter who he is can change it alone. Obama seems to have momentum, ideas and with Biden, I agree he takes the lead.

Whoever wins I just hope they inspire others to join them in fixing what's broken and eliminating the barriers to do so.

Dan
